Local file immediately replaced with .!sync placeholder - 1.1.30 - Win 7

Had a strange behaviour tonight, I finished working on a 4 MB PDF file and when I saved it, it was immediately replaced with a .!sync fileholder. It was back to the correct file after a couple of minutes, just wondered why that would be the case? I understand the placeholder on machines that don't have the entire file, but this was the machine with the original file:

Acrobat 9.5, but I didn't create the file as the last process, I was editing an existing PDF and when I saved the final changes I happened to have the directory open on another monitor and saw it get replaced almost instantly with the .!sync.
