Scripted pausing of sync on Mac OS X

My MacBook Air is often connected to the net via my iPhone's Personal Hotspot. In such situations, I'd like all my cloud sync services to pause.

* CrashPlan has an advanced setting in its preference to exclude certain network interfaces. This is great; when my Mac is connected via the iPhone's Personal Hotspot, CrashPlan automatically pause.

* I've yet to find a way to automate the pausing of Dropbox. :-(

I would love to find a way to script the pausing of BitTorrent Sync. I use Keyboard Maestro on the Mac, which can execute scripts based on a variety of conditions, such as being on a particular network. If there were a CLI interface to BitTorrent Sync, I could possibly run a command to pause it.

Any thoughts?
