xavy
I'm trying to sync to linux servers, kind of a backup. So I installed the BitTorrent Sync on one of the machines, now what do I install on the other? FYI... both servers don't have GUI's. Can someone point me to a tutorial or sample? Thank you. DepthDeluxe
You should have the same configuration files between all members in your sync network. Once you have the same secrets saved away in config of the current system, BTSync automatically finds other members in that network and files should automatically start transferring. The way I have my Linux servers set up is I put my config file inside a synced directory. That way all my synced folders are updated automatically. When adding a new server, all you would have to do is install BTSync and then copy over the initial config file. After that, any changes to your configuration will be automatically updated on next daemon launch. You could write scripts that automatically ssh into each of your remote machines and perform the install / initial configuration / updates. That's on my list of things to do... xavy
Forgot to include this but the linux servers I'm trying to sync are not on the same lan. Will that still work?
