Kindred
Hi, I've got a linux btsync server running on a master node with a secret key generated as normal. I've also got multiple linux btsync clients running with the read-only key (each has the same config). That part works fine for communicating with the master, but they're not helping each other. I see them communicating (via tcpdump) with small packets so I presume they're aware of each other, but they're just not sending data to each to help (can spot the big data packets via tcpdump), even when their files are completed and others don't have the full file yet. This means only the master server is sending, causing it's interface to be hammered for a long time instead of other clients distributing and helping too. Is this a limit in the read-only setup? I figured because the clients all have the same key they'd happily share amongst themselves. Thanks.
chiprom
I've encountered the same problem but in Windows, for now my solution, until the developers fix this problem, is to restart the BTSync on one of the clients.
Harold Feit
Is there any program ACTIVELY using the files in your sync folder when this happens?
Kindred
Is there any program ACTIVELY using the files in your sync folder when this happens? No, nothing at all would be even looking at the directory or accessing the files.
