Sync Question And Overall Impression Using Wd Mycloud Drive

I am working on setting up a new BitSync server i setup on my 4GB WD MyCloud....

I was trying to figure out a way to backup my Google Drive tell my contract with them runs out for larger storage space... How do i make it a 1 way sync using the GUI through MYIPADDRESS:8888 so anytime i add something to the google drive folder that it adds it to my (MyCloud) server. I dont want it to add things to the Google Drive because once the service runs out it will be a non-void.

The reason i ask for one way sync is because I am created a BitSync for just the college classes im taking currenty this quarter and sync'd it up with my Surface Tablet. This reduces the amount of files being stored on the tablet due to the overall size of all files i have in my Google Drive.

I am also BitSync-ing the files to the folder that was created throught the WD MyCloud built in software. Adding files to the BitSync'd folder through BitTorrent Sync software adds it so these files can be viewed through the actual WD desktop app or mobile apps also.. This was the work around for not having a drive to save to using the OEM WD MyCloud software. Its really annoying trying to use it Windows Based Tablet so the BitSync software adds the MyCloud Drive i wanted.

Everything i have done has accomplished many improvements over the OEM WD MyCloud software. Now i can have a stored backup of the WD MyCloud on my home Desktop using a cheap internal hard drive... so if the MyCloud fails i have a backup now...Also now i can store individual folders on a tablet and not clutter it with the entire Drive. Also this allows me to store anything i want on the MyCloud now.. I had an issue with Google freezing my Google Drive for a week because i downloaded my Ebooks from college to the drive and they flagged it for copyright... even though it was my copy of the book.

Hi storx,

I did not fully understand what do you try to achieve, but BTSync allows one-way sync. All you need to do is to share a Read-only secret with peer. Having a read-only folder peer will only download data from other peers, but will never upload updated / added files.

To get a read-only secret you need to view Sync'ed folder properties.

Hope it helps.
