eg73
Hi! I'm trying to sync my internal data drive (drive A) with a firewire drive (drive (both drives are 2TB, out of which 1.6 is full. drive A is actually a software raid array inside my mac, made of two 2TB drives. should it matter) I've been using drive B to back drive A manually, using Carbon Copy Cloner, so when I started BTsync, both drives already contained the same data. I connected drive B to my home machine (via firewire) and starting syncing. When drive A was about to finish indexing, drive B only did about 40GB of indexing and it looked as if it's going to take forever. questions: 1. how long is the drive B indexing going to take and why is it so slow compared to internal drive?2. let's say I index drive A first, then manually sync it to drive B, would I save the indexing time, as a side effect of copying the index data? thanks!eg Edited February 5, 2014 by eg73
