TheKimster Posted March 24, 2014 Report Share Posted March 24, 2014 HelloI have just started to use bittorrent sync for android to automatic save film and pictures to my pc.I was wondering if it were possible to give the phone limited access eg. create and read, but not update and delete. so if synced files are being deleted on the phone, they will not be deleted on the pc? RomanZ Posted March 24, 2014 Report Share Posted March 24, 2014 TheKimster, Currently there is no such functionality in BTSync, however you can workaround it: All the pics and movies deleted on Android are actually moved to ".SyncArchive" hidden folder on your PC. Files are stored there for 30 days by default before BTSync actually deletes them. This behavior can be adjusted: you can set "sync_trash_ttl" advanced option to "0", so BTSync will never delete your files. So, at the end of day you are going to get your sync folder which is exactly same as on Android, plus all file that are deleted on Android are in .SyncArchive subfolder.
