Serve The Web-Ui Over A Unix Socket?

Does anyone know if this is possible? I have a home file server which runs nginx. It would be fairly trivial to boot up a btsync instance for each user, and then have all the different WebUI's behind SSL protected subdomains - i.e. so I could go server/user/btsync and get the WebUI.

But, I'd like to avoid using a bunch of random ports which the web UI would be served over. Nginx can handle HTTP over unix sockets - can btsync be configured to serve the WebUI over a unix socket?
