never_here18
i know BTS can sync with NAS drives, but i was wondering if i could since my networked drive that is from my 'Windows Small Business Server 2011". i dont want to install bittorrent sync on the server itself, however, i do want to create a back up of a specific folder that can be accessed to a networked PC (my personal workstation). I prefer not to run another program on it as its already heavily used, and not powerful, (as it needs to meet my managers budget), luckily, my own pc can run a billion things without problems.(i put money into my own pc) so, is it safe to use BTS on a pc, syncing a networked drive that is used in a 'windows small business server 2011', to an offsite location (for offsite backup and anytime access for myself). thanks. RomanZ
@never_here18 Usually we do not recommend to sync SMB shares. SMB works differently than file system and there might be numerous issues with file access permissions and setting OS notifications for file changes.
