Is This Expected Behaviour?

Hi,

I've just started trying to use btsync to keep my phone backed up.  Here's what I've got: -

- Headless Debian server running the latest (1.4.83) version downloaded from the website - not packaged.

- Android client downloaded from the play store.

If I create a 'backup' from the phone and add it on the server via the web interface, the contents sync as expected to the server, however, If I delete an item on the phone, nothing happens at the server end.  The file remains.

If I create a read/write share on the server, and share this with the phone, when I delete a file on the phone, that file does get deleted on the server and moved to the .sync/Archive directory.

Is this expected behaviour from the 'backup' functionality?

Yes, this is the intended backup functionality. If you want it otherwise, you can use the read-only secret of a share on the server.

If a file changes on the mobile phone, it is also changed on the server, the old version going to the SyncArchive folder, where it is kept for how long you configured SyncArchive to be kept.
