Advanced Preferences Description

Hi,

 

I really like Sync 2.0. Just couldn't find any description for Advanced preferences settings. I'm interested in log size limitation. I need to limit maximum size of log to 20MB.

I found in advanced preferences pair "log_size" with value "100" - what does it mean?

Is it possible to disable logging at all (and start it when needed)?

Another suggestion is to create portable Sync. Would be great.

#0 Log size is measured in Mbytes. So log_size = 100 means your sync.log will be limited to 100Mbytes.

#2 BT stopped portable sync support in 1.4, we don't plan to introduce it again in close future.

Hi,

 

thank you for pointing me to Advanced settings description page. I already changed some settings on my computer and it works great. However I have one instalation of BitSync 2.0.33 on my NAS (arm device). There's a sync.conf file with settings. I'm not sure how to modify its content let's say to limit log size and config refresh interval?. Should I just add following lines?

Yes, just put advanced preferences to the top level params. The red sample is almost correct - you need to remove double slash which comments text out and make sure that all necessary commas are present (or removed, if this is the last line before "}"
