Hawaiian Posted January 18, 2015 Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 I'd like to use BTSync to synchronize files on MacBooks within my organization. I use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone these MacBooks, a few hundred of them. I've set up BTSync, along with a shared folder, on a MacBook that I use as the gold image. I use this gold image to clone all of the other MacBooks. All computers have unique host names.The problem is that BTSync views all cloned computers as one computer. So, files only sync to one of the few hundreds computers that are cloned. If I shut all computers down, the first computer turned on will sync, and all others will not.Anyone have advice for me? RomanZ Posted January 19, 2015 Report Share Posted January 19, 2015 @HawaiianEvery peer in Sync should have a unique PeerID. As soon as PeerID stops being unique within one mesh, the duplicate peers won't see each other. Try deleting settings.dat and settings.dat.old to reset PeerID and generate it from scratch.
