zran
Altough I know Sync is not supported in Android TV, I was wondering if anyone in the forum has tried to install Sync for instance in the Nexus Player, and if he observed whether the app was working or presented issues. It is not an Android TV approved app, so therefore it has to be installed with a web browser or sideloded. Did the client sync appropriately? Did the nexus player stay on until the synced files finished, or did it switch to sleep mode after a while? Does the client sync files even when the nexus player is in sleep mode? Thanks a lot for the feedback, if anyone has tried it.
infomofo
I am a longtime BT Sync user and a new Android TV user as well and I was hoping to be able to use BT Sync to synchronize a folder between my phone and my android tv device. I was able to sideload Sync onto the device, but once it's there, there aren't really ways to get shares onto it. It doesn't have a camera so you can't do QR sync. However, if it could generate QR codes that I could scan with my phone, that would be enough.
Moe
Idk but as long as you have a command line available for SSH into that Android TV you can set it up and reach it via webgui.
RomanZ
@zran, @infomofo, As @Moe says you can simply run ARM version on Sync is you get SSH access to your device.Although, the regular APK that runs on Android-based devices should also work. The main complexity would be to get the folder on it as it does not have camera, although you can disable "Simple mode" in settings and enter the key manually.
