Is 3 Way Sync Possible.

Hi

I have setup a sync between my work PC and my laptop and sync'ed everything in the folder fine.

I then went home and sync'd the laptop folder to my home PC (using the share option).

Now my laptop shows 2 of 2 peers and both my PC's show 1 of 1 peers.

Is is possible to make the 2 PCs also see the same sync, rather than setting up another sync connection on 1 of them.

Is it possible for the same sync connection to show 2 of 2 peers with them all syncing together.

At present if I make a change on my work PC it goes to my laptop then my home PC syncs.

It would be great if I could make changes on my work PC and it sync'd to both (and visa versa).

Also if my laptop is off, then sync between work/home wont work as it needs that intermediate step.

I understand that I can just share the sync from my work PC to my home PC but then it would show up as a second sync on the desktop PC.

Is there a way around this. If not, no problems, just would be nice.

If not I will just remove the syn between my laptop and home PC and share asyn between work and home (internet is not great here so this would make sync of large files slower).

Regards

Adam

That is the general idea behind Sync to have a share and almost as many peers can have access to it as you want.

This seems to be a connectivity/discovery bug.

Maybe your work pc is behind some sort of firewall disabling the discovery of other peers?

Also this should go into the troubleshooting forum instead of "general"

Hi

I apologise about this.

It must be some type of network issue on my Home PC.

I have added other systems in any order and they are all talkign to each other.

My Home PC is having issue talking to the internet and the syncs so far have been local.

Is this the issue, the fact it cannot contact a tracker server maybe?

Thanks again

Yes! That could definitely cause that! So it should, at least, be able to connect to both tracker and relay server in order to discover other peers. You can also add peers to folders manually if they have a static ip or if they are accessible via hostname
