wolfman1360
Hi, I'm attempting to use a trial of sync pro and use selective sync on a Kangaroo desktop pc. I upgraded from 1.3.109 to 2.3.4, and I added another device which is also running a sync pro trial. Said device being my main desktop computer. My kangaroo, however, isn't receiving any placeholder files, even when I selected selctive sync in the screen that asked what I wanted to do with folders from the other device. What am I missing? When I hover over the folder, I get a list of stuff at the bottom including a selective sync link which does nothing, on which appears to synchronize the folder in full, and off which, so far as I understand it, is what enables the placeholder files. I'm running windows and have bt sync installed as a service. I'm not sure how to open the folder in the web gui being blind, but the list of other devices is showing fully synced with folders even though windows explorer is showing nothing but a .sync folder in each folder with no .bts files, at least that's what I think placeholder files should be. So, any help is greatly appreciated. I really do hope this comes out right and not all in one chunk of text, too! Please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated. No, the thing is that if ''Selective sync" toggle is ON, then in this case you have selective synchronization and .bts placeholder files instead of real files. If it's ON, but .bts files don't appear on a receiving peer, please contact us via Help Center and provide us with full debug logs from both peers (please collect logs on both devices after reproducing the described situation). wolfman1360
hi, Ok, maybe I'm not understanding then. At the bottom, I see the following: Pause syncing Share... Copy Read Only key Copy Read & Write key Peer list... Selective Sync Pro Off On Preferences... Disconnect I'm using a sync pro trial on all the machines I've upgraded. That selective sync is showing up as a link, as is on and off. When I click on, I seem to get all the files - and not just placeholder files, but mp3 files etc. When I click off, nothing happens and same goes with the selective sync link. Does this work with classic standard folders or does it need to be an advanced folder? Or does this not work with the sync pro trial and I need to buy it? Totally lost at this point. It works for both types of folders in a Trial or Pro versions of the app.
