I have two external 2TB drives attached to Mac Minis that are kept in sync with BTSync. One of the drives failed (which is exactly why I use btsync- to protect against drive failers). To speed things up, I attached the replacement drive to the same machine as the good drive and run rsync between two local disks (rsync -gloptrucv <src> <dst>). I then normalized the setup, with each drive attached to a different machine and launch btsync. I would have expected very little activity, but btsync is telling me all the files need to sync'd. Is this expected given how I 'primed' the new disk? Is there a better way to handle syncing an empty disk? I have about 500G and roughly 70k files that need to be sync'd. Thank you.
