  1. (I've also contacted help about this, but it seems like a general enough issue that I'm also posting it to this forum) I'm running v 2.0. I have several clients syncing the same directory with about 500 GB of data. I recently upgraded one machine (a Mac) and have coped the directory to that machine and stalled Sync. How do I tell the new instance of Sync to use the existing directory instead of re-syncing everything? I've tried putting the existing data in the default location (the same place it was on the old machine), but Sync creates a new folder with a "~1" suffix and starts syncing that from scratch. Or do I have to start from scratch every time I upgrade computers? That would be a hassle. The problem is that the syncing starts as soon as I link the new machine, even before I get a chance to use the "manual connection" method in preferences.
  2. I have a fairly large folder, about 150 GB of data, with my Lightroom catalog and previews, that I sync between my laptop and desktop using BitTorrent Sync 2.0. I recently upgraded to Lightroom 6.0 on my laptop, which changed a bunch of files. Before launching Lightroom I pause Sync, do what I need to do in Lightroom, then start Sync after Lightroom has totally shut down. I do this to avoid copying lock file and otherwise messing with the DB file while it's open in Lightroom. Anyway, BitTorrent sync seems stuck trying to transfer a 61B Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat.lock from my laptop to desktop. The file no longer exists on my laptop. After hours of sitting there, nothing seems to be transferring between my laptop and desktop. Any suggestions? Does anyone recall how to contact tech support? (as an aside, 2.0 has reallly been a series of headaches for me. To avoid 1.4 to 2.0 upgrade hassles I started fresh with 2.0, used one machine as a 'master' and used 2.0 to sync everything again to new directories, only to have issues like this crop up again and again. I've been planning to get a pro subscription but now I'm looking at alternative programs.)
  3. I second this big time. I use a Verizon MiFi almost daily during my train commute, and it'd be great not to have to remember to turn of BT Sync every time I turn on my MiFi (to avoid blowing through my monthly quota...) Just detecting the WiFi name and matching to a list of known 'metered connections' to disable syncing (or at least bring up a pop-up) would be a big help.
