Thanks again. It's hard for me to understand why google decided to kill one of the key competitive advantages of their OS. It would be way easier to implement some sort of security manager as the core of the OS, which would provide the user with the option of allowing selected applications to have full access to SD card OR simply format the SD card under EXT instead of FAT-16 (does anyone use the SD cards to physically transfer the data between the Android and Windows devices, anyway??). Now I need to move the synced folders to the PC first, delete them at ExtSD and move to the dedicated folder and tune the apps respectively. With 40 gb of data it would take me hours.

In one of the previous discussions on the topic, it was mentioned that the issue is to be solved under BitTorrent Sync 1.3.x I have 1.3.19.0 on my Xperia Z1 Compact running under 4.4.2 Still no go. That makes BT Sync pretty useless for my device as the folders to be synced are quite heavy with 25+ GB data. Are there any status updates for the matter?
