  1. I really like BTSync on my Linux desktop, laptop, NAS and several Android devices. It's the best. Can you make BTSync available to Android OmniRom or Cyanogenmod users, i.e. outside Googles proprietary Play market? I switched to OmniRom without GAPPS on several devices. (KitKat is working fine now on a Samsung Galaxy S.) Why? I'm fed up with Samsung not updating Android versions and the Samsung Bloatware, and I'm fed up with Google's behaviour lately on Android. - pushing everyone to Google Services like Google+ - dropping SMS app for Hangouts - forcing 24hr 100% Google location access - pushing proprietary Google Play Services to app developers. But running OmniRom means I can't access Google Play anymore. Don't mind that to much. F-Droid is fine, and has the nearly everything I need/want except BTSync Still I would like to use BTSYnc, it's really great! Unfortunately it's available outside the Play market.
  2. The best way IMHO: CyanogenMod. I installed Kitkat 4.4 (CM 11 snapshot) on my Samsung S (GT-9000)! and it is working very fine with BTSync I'm very pleased with 4.4, feels like a new phone, and much smoother/faster then 2.3.x, and normal SD-card R/W-access!
