  1. Spent the last 3 days trying to get all my devices synced up with no results, there are just so many errors, 600+GB folders wiped then re-synced & on an on it go’s. I understand the need to monetise, like most software company's start off free to get public recognition & a following not to mention the bug finding & testing, then when the software starts to get stable some sort of pay for tier is added. But I have never known functionality be removed, (i.e. 10 folder limit) breaking people's workflows / folder structures & causing me & i am sure many other people significant disruption. This seems no way to treat a loyal user-base that is at least equal parts responsible for where this product is today. All this is from a company we are to trust with our data? I won't go on about the crazy over pricing & subscription model except to say at this point I would pay $40 to have someone remove this broken 2.0 off all my devices. My intentions now are to set about downgrading all my devices to 1.4 in the short term & start looking at the alternatives out there with a view to jumping ship. Such a shame, I really did love btsync 1.4 & converted many people to it. My thanks to btsync for creating a great sync solution, i enjoyed it whilst it lasted. Regards,
  2. BTSync only syncing with active ssh connection (ArchLinux) I have setup some shares in BTSync 2.x & everything is syncing fine & i can connect via the web ui. Once i disconnect ssh from the linux box hosting the shares, the sync stops, also the web ui stops working. I have the same setup working fine on Openelec. I âm using upnp on all nodes & upnp is enabled on my router. i have tried specifying a listening port & forwarding it on the router, this has no affect. I have also tried deactivating the firewall on the router also with no affect Here is my btsync.conf { "device_name": "My Sync Device", "listening_port" : 0, // 0 - randomize port/* storage_path dir contains auxilliary app files if no storage_path field: .sync dir created in the directory where binary is located. otherwise user-defined directory will be used */ "storage_path" : "/home/drew/.btsync",/* set location of pid file */ "pid_file" : "/home/drew/.btsync/btsync.pid",/* use UPnP for port mapping */ "use_upnp" : true,/* limits in kB/s. 0 - no limit */ "download_limit" : 0, "upload_limit" : 0,/* proxy configuration */// "proxy_type" : "socks4", // Valid types: "socks4", "socks5", "http_connect". 3. I would also like to know the answer to this.
  4. I have been pulling my hair out with many errors like this since upgrading 2.0 for me anyway is a complete nightmare, very poor show. Anyway i sorted my dreaded "storagepatherror101" by deleting the hidden .sync folders left over from 1.4. Every time you create a sync, a hidden .sync directory is created at the root of the sync, you need to remove these. I then for good measure reboot all nodes.(makes sure to try the reboot, this got me a few times) Not sure if this is best practice, I always remove the .sync files before i try to recreate a share with a previously used location. (The .sync directories are created at all nodes) Regards,
  5. Had the same problem, can't remember exactly what i did & its difficult now to recreate without re-uninstalling. If i remember right, you need to open Activity Monitor. Select the option "Memory" from the top menu. Then type into the search bar sync. I then force quit "Sync Finder Extension" & "CMFSyncAgent". (to force quit select the top right button with the X symbol) Regards, p.s. quit btsync first...
