That's a poor thread title. Disconnected Mode probably didn't cause the crash. The problem is that the program crashed at some point during syncing on a computer set up in Disconnected Mode, and when I restarted the program, all of the folders had become connected, which created folders for all of the previously disconnected ones on a machine that I didn't want to connect those folders on. Also, Disconnected Mode is NOT the same as what I'm requesting. Perhaps a slightly different use case would better explain the rationale behind my request. Say I have a handful of machines that I want to sync to a central server, like a FreeNAS box with the BTSync plugin installed. Each machine has 2 or 3 folders to sync, only syncing to the FreeNAS box (or maybe a couple of FreeNAS boxes if I wanted redundancy). However, I don't want the machines to sync to each other, and I don't want to see the other machines' folders in the list, or I'll end up with 20 disconnected folders on every machine which is just useless clutter. I just want the ability to share the folders I want to share with the machines I choose, without ANY automatic propagation. In Disconnected Mode, as soon as I add a folder on any device, it shows up on every other device. There's no way of hiding unwanted folders (I actually tried, and it ended up disconnecting that folder on the devices I DID want to sync on).
