Okay, the subfolder in question ended with a ~ I thought I had originally taken out ~* and *~ from the IgnoreList on this folder but had only taken out ~*, which explains why Desktop Sync suddenly started indexing it when I commented out the IgnoreList. Too bad there's no global setting for this. Android's not too keen on editing hidden files on an external SD.

I'm syncing a folder with 7,363 files from my desktop (edit: Win 10) running 2.2.5 to my Android (edit: Android 5.0.1) running 2.2.3 via read-only share. However, there's a subfolder containing 12 files that won't sync no matter what I try. My issues: Desktop Sync originally wasn't indexing the 12 files, so Android Sync was showing "Files: 7351 (7351 synced)". However, at some point, Desktop Sync indexed the missing 12 files and Android sync started showing "Files: 7363 (7351 synced)". I have no idea what caused this and can't recreate the solution.Side issue: is there really no file count in the desktop UI? The only reason I knew the issue was originally on the desktop side was that I saw the Size column change from 34.01 GB to 34.06 GB. If it weren't for the Android UI I'd have no clue whether or not all the files had been indexed.I tried all of the following, none of which worked. Throughout all of this desktop and Android are both showing each other as peers.On desktop, commenting out "IgnoreList" (there's nothing special about the subfolder or the 12 files, but I tried this before I found the subfolder).On Android, canceling the sync of each of the 12 unsynced files, then resyncing them.On Android, toggling selective sync (this had been the solution to another problem I had with an incomplete desktop-to-Android sync).Restarting Desktop Sync and Android Sync.On Android, disconnecting the folder, then resharing it with Android.On desktop, removing the entire folder altogether, readding it, then resharing it with Android.Manually copying the subfolder from desktop to Android.Again, on Android, canceling the sync of each of the 12 unsynced files, then resyncing them.Again, restarting Desktop Sync and Android Sync.I'm still sitting at "7363 (7351 synced)" on Android.

I use Sync to sync a folder between my PC (read-only) and Android. Before upgrading to 2.2, I had done this a few dozen times -- with my desktop Sync open, I open the Android app, and changes made to the folder on desktop are synced to the folder on my phone. No problem. But this time, the old version of the folder on my phone overwrote the changes I made to the folder on desktop. The desktop folder is supposed to be read-only (and has always worked that way); however, I don't even know where that's indicated in the desktop UI. Basically, I'm looking to find out where I went wrong so I keep trusting Sync. Just lost two RNG passwords and I'd rather it be my fault than Sync's.
