Great Firewall of China

Is it possible to proxy BTSync traffic? (e.g. in the way uTorrent supports SOCKS proxy).

I am running btsync on my home linux box in mainland China. My other peers are VPS servers based around the world, outside China. Between VPS peers I get excellent bandwidth and transfers. But between home and peers I get terrible performance, absolutely awful. I believe the problem is the Great Firewall of China (NB I never have problems with regular BT traffic for downloads).

The usual answer is run a VPN or SSH tunnel. I do, yes, it works, but performance of 1 VPN/SSH proxy is only a fraction as good as BitTorrent with concurrent swarm connections to multiple peers. I want to use BTSync to mimic the performance of the cloud.

Thank you

p.s. Fantastic product! absolutely love it. Please make it Open Source :)
