No Sync if computer booted with network disabled then later enabled

I'm testing BTSync pretty intensively and tried many different use cases (under ArchLinux, Gnome 3.8).

For example, computer is running and btsync syncs just fine, then I disable my WiFi connection, changes few files in the sync directory then enables it back. btsync then would sync those changes over.

Now if I disable WiFi, change few filew in the btsync dir, shutdown my computer , reboot without network, wait a little bit then re-enable back WiFi I don't get the files the sync over and thus even after waiting a long time. From that point I no longer seems to be synced to the remote peers.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

Looking at wireshark I no longer see packets targeting the remote peers, only sos packets on port 3838.

I'm thinking about having a cron job to restart btsync from time to time but I think there might be a more elegant solution.
