fukawi2
I have a shared folder with 2 nodes; a server with the "original" data, and a backup host that is configured using the read-only key. These are the only 2 nodes in the shared folder. For some reason, the "read-only" host (the backup server) is stuck trying to upload data back to the server:Why would a node using the RO key want to upload back to the server? How can I get it "unstuck"?
GreatMarko
Was the "backup host" always configured as a read-only? ...or was it initially full-access when first added, and then you changed it to a read-only secret afterwards? This would likely explain what you're seeing
fukawi2
No, I only created the folder in the last 24 hours (well, within 24 hours of my original post anyway).1. Create shared folder on the server, wait for index to complete.2. Use btsync --get-ro-secret <RW_secret> to obtain the RO key.3. Add the RO secret to the backup host via the WebUI. fukawi2
OK, my read-only peer appears that it is NOT. This seems important :-/I just duplicated a folder on my server (`cp -r folderA/ folderB/`) then removed some files from the new folder (`cd folderB/ ; rm -f file1 file2`).Not long after, those files started to sync back from the "backup". They reappeared with the .!sync extension. How? What? Why? :-/
