andrewrk
1. Is there a way to make a check happen to see if the files are up to date?2. Is there a way to determine whether a sync is ongoing?
RomanZ
You can call "Get Folder Peers", it will let you know the timestamp of the last sync. Also, it will show you the upload and download values, which represent the necessary amount of data to be transferred. If both are zero - no sync is going now and folders are synced. andrewrk
Thanks! This answer is very helpful. You might consider adding it to the API docs.
andrewrk
For my use case I have a bunch of selective sync folders like this: * folder 1 (secret 1)/subfolder 1 * folder 1 (secret 1)/subfolder 2 * folder 1 (secret 1)/subfolder 3 * folder 2 (secret 2)/subfolder 1 * folder 2 (secret 2)/subfolder 2 * folder 3 (secret 3)/subfolder 1 Using Get Folder Peers I can find out if the outer most folders are currently syncing, but I can't find out on a subfolder basis. Is there a way to do it?
RomanZ
The outer folder includes all the subfolders. So, if you've found out upload / download values for Folder 1 - it also includes all the data in Folder 1, including all subfolders.
andrewrk
I want to be able to tell the difference between these two scenarios: Scenario 1: * (secret 1)/subfolder 1 is still syncing * (secret 1)/subfolder 2 is up to date Scenario 2: * (secret 1)/subfolder 1 is still syncing * (secret 1)/subfolder 2 is still syncing
RomanZ
Current API does not allow such granularity. If you want to see if sub-folders are synced - make them a separate sync folders.
