mikexw
Hi, i'm new to BitTorrent Sync and had a question regarding the functionality/accessibility of it and your files. If my current computer crashes, am I able to with my new computer to login and access those files or have i lost all the files forever?Simply asking because with other cloud-based programs such as Box Sync & DropBox, you are able to access a login which then syncs or gets you access to those files that you once had access to on your old notebook/desktop.If anyone can get back to me and clarify this i'd greatly appreciate it. If you need more clarification please let me know. Thank you in advance! Edited September 27, 2014 by mikexw
Harold Feit
You have to provide your own cloud with BitTorrent Sync. We don't have a copy of your files. Only you do.
mikexw
So by providing your own cloud, are you referring to something like Box Sync/DropBox? This would mean that the cloud storage is still in tact and the unlimited storage by BTSync doesn't apply... correct?
Harold Feit
No. I'm referring to getting a rental machine somewhere. BitTorrent Sync can't interact directly with box/dropbox. It's not the same kind of service.
