Trouble With Key-Exchange Without External Server

Hello again,

 

now as my android syncs again in the local network (see other post) i tried to add a "new backup".

 

on android (1.4.56)

--> new Backup

--> share --> copy key and email (with key insert with paste)

 

on windows (1.4.93)

--> add folder

--> settings --> show key --> update key

If i enter the key i sent myself by mail it's not accepted ("please enter a valid read/write key")

 

So effectively i'm not able to do a backup from android to windows.

I can only use shares created on windwos-side and add them on android with their qr-code.

 

Am i doing something wrong here?

Yes - on Android instead of using the "New Backup" menu option, tap the "Add" icon in the top right corner on the main screen instead, then tap "Enter a Key". You can then share a folder using a key rather than having to scan a QR code
