Btsync "not Responding" On Windows 8.1

Starting with 1.4.99 (maybe earlier -- I'm not sure which version I was using), I have a problem syncing one particular directory.  At some point, the application seems to spinlock.  As far as I can tell, no data is being transmitted and no disk activity is occurring.  The app is just consuming a lot of CPU, the sync doesn't finish, and Windows reports the application as "not responding."

 

Just to confirm, this is still happening with 1.4.103 in Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.  I had reformatted my computer for an unrelated issue and the same problem existed before and after, suggesting it's unlikely to be my system at fault.  Any help would be much appreciated.


Edit: Now that I've figured out I can get back into a workable state by going to my profile and deleting all of BTSync's settings, I can turn on debug logging.  Previously the CPU issue prevented me from interacting with the UI at all.  I've since emailed the debug logs to support and will report back if I hear anything.
