How To Tell If A Directory Is Synced

Is there any way of telling if a directory is being synced at the current time? IS there a tell tale file present or missing?

 

 

I just need to detect when a directory is up to date and then run a script but if that directory is being updated, wait.

Try using the API that's available for Sync.

I will look at that. I also wanted to know in what order the system selects files and folders. Is it alphebetically then subfolders or subfolders first etc.

The reason i ask is if i create a file in the top directory named zzzzzzz.zzzzzzz would it transfer all subfolders first then that file. If thats the case i could simply look for that file at the destination end

Nah, the order is not alphabetic. Actually, the order is determined by OS itself. We just ask OS to enumerate all files, and it decides about the order.
