norbert78 Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 Dear forum,I have a few questions on the behavior of the pro version of btsync that I purchase a few days ago. I could not find anything here in the forum and I hope that I did not miss anything.I connected two PCs, PCA and PCB using the identity of btsync. I.e. I linked the devices and now all shared folders show up on both machines. However, on PCA I now get an invitation from another, external PC to join a btsync share (in this case a version 1.4 share). Is there any way to control whether this folder is also added to my identity or not? In some cases it may be that I only want this external folder to be on the one machine but I can also imagine cases in which I want to have it added to my identity so that it shows up on all machines. The other question that I have: Is it possible to link one device to multiple other identities? Or is one device limited to one identity? Moe Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 Sadly you can't, if you have one identity with multiple machines, separate shares. Meaning that if you add a share, 1.4 or newer, it will show up on all machines using the identity of yours. If you have multiple Identities, you can have multiple with your pro license, THEN you will be able to separate it.Then it is like with any other BitTorrent Sync user: you have to send a link or QR to add a folder to your other machine - since it is in a different identity.
