I started a new thread. maybe I should have just posted here.
How to deal with many '.Conflict.' folders?
http://forum.bittorrent.com/topic/28631-dealing-with-conflict-folders/
-
I have reassigned the passwords on a number of machines. Some got the Encrypted Read-Only password. Others got the regular full password.
Now, I am finding '.Conflict.' as folders all over the place. Also, some even '.Conflict.Conflict.' folders.
Thinking I might have to write a script to deal with them. Apart from file times, I assume they must all be the same since nothing else changed.
Anybody else have this? How are you dealing with it?

I am having rpoblems with it too. It sleeps before everything is synced. Also, it does not autostart on boot as per setting.
I might disable sleep and see if it hogs power.

Did this and it works well. Thanks!

Thanks for the help GreatMarko. FYI - The page delived 1.2.87 but it says 1.2.82 on the page.
Bzzzt. Same error. It works to add folder with long password. Then, when open sync preferences for folder, it crashes.

I am on 1.2.82. When I "check now" it says I am on most recent version??

I tried longer than 40 secrets on my windows 7 btsync and it crashed without an error message.

> I would like this feature as well. I think it would actually be more disruptive than BtSync itself.
For sure a winner!
1) Solves the unencrypted NAS problem.
2) Solves the untrusted node problem.
Then, our family and friends all over the globe can act as nodes for each other.
Please please please do this soon!

It seems to be working since turning this off:
Advanced Wireless Settings
-> SHORT GI (FALSE)
According to DLINK:
"Using a short (400ns) guard interval can increase throughput. However, it can also increase error rate in some installations, due to increased sensitivity to radio-frequency reflections. Select the option that works best for your installation."

Question: Bit Torrent Sync does not know my secret, they just know the HASH of my secret, right? SO, if they are compromised, will anyone ever know my actual secret?
Also, given that someone *could* guess my secret or collide with it. Not likely, but possible.
... If I generate a Billion 20 character (a-z,A-Z,1-9) words (secrets) how many of them will contain my email address? If I preface my email address to a secret, then how much less is the probability that someone would find my secret randomly?
Any math wizards want to take a try at solving that ...

If anyone can suggest, my router at home crashes, randomly, at least once or twice per hour while btsync is running and syncing.
I have a desktop (wireless n card), laptop (built-in wireless n) and they are connecting to a DIR-655 D-Link router.
The router simply stops functioning and requires a power-off to get it started again.
Other than that the sync works fine....
Does anyone else experience this and have any suggestions?

I am bumping this up because I have never seen this before and also I have searched and not found anything in the FAQ or pdf manual referring to this issue. Bump!
