  1. I have reassigned the passwords on a number of machines. Some got the Encrypted Read-Only password. Others got the regular full password.

    Now, I am finding '.Conflict.' as folders all over the place. Also, some even '.Conflict.Conflict.' folders.

    Thinking I might have to write a script to deal with them. Apart from file times, I assume they must all be the same since nothing else changed.

    Anybody else have this? How are you dealing with it?

  2. It seems to be working since turning this off:

    Advanced Wireless Settings

    -> SHORT GI (FALSE)

    According to DLINK:

    "Using a short (400ns) guard interval can increase throughput. However, it can also increase error rate in some installations, due to increased sensitivity to radio-frequency reflections. Select the option that works best for your installation."

  3. Question: Bit Torrent Sync does not know my secret, they just know the HASH of my secret, right? SO, if they are compromised, will anyone ever know my actual secret?

    Also, given that someone *could* guess my secret or collide with it. Not likely, but possible.

    ... If I generate a Billion 20 character (a-z,A-Z,1-9) words (secrets) how many of them will contain my email address? If I preface my email address to a secret, then how much less is the probability that someone would find my secret randomly?

    Any math wizards want to take a try at solving that ... :)

  4. If anyone can suggest, my router at home crashes, randomly, at least once or twice per hour while btsync is running and syncing.

    I have a desktop (wireless n card), laptop (built-in wireless n) and they are connecting to a DIR-655 D-Link router.

    The router simply stops functioning and requires a power-off to get it started again.

    Other than that the sync works fine....

    Does anyone else experience this and have any suggestions?
