Ok i'll try to search in forum but i miss the config value for the size of file (or the size of the patch) in advanced config, i'll check to be sure , i remember this value was present in version 1
Anyway i see little change on big files are synched fast on slow network so definetively seems resilio is using patching even in last versionsThank you

Ok thank you for the info.
I don't know if could have sense to disable indexing if folder is in pause, i.e if i put in pause a folder it did not need any indexing from my point of view, it will be indexed when the folder will be not in pause .
May be this could be a new feature or enhanchments?

It's possible to move only part modified in file instead of all file?
Something similar to https://github.com/librsync/librsync
If i remember correctly this feature were present in first version of Btsynch and it was possible to configure the max patch size

I need to synchronize some Virtual Machine (Vmware) , that are splitted in sever files.
Basically synchronization have to happen when machine is turned off, so i need to stop synching whenever i open a Virtual machine.
Is there a way to stop indexing on folder and restarting only when i need it?
If a put the folder in pause i see indexing happening in background (lot of i/o on disk)
Apparently unique solutio is to turn off the sync process and restart when i shutdown the machine
Any idea?

Btsync is executed as btsync user
This is a local file system not a network share so this should not be the problem.
Any hint? should i open a bug or may be i'm missing something stupid in permission / ownership of dir/file?

i'm missing something could someone give me a hint?

It seems that the sync from my Android tablet is pretty slow about 300K-500Kb , where other time it was about 2-4 Mb, network / router is the same if i remember well there was an update and previous version have better performance , any idea?

In case you still need info
1) Sync is running as a service now (i check to run as a service during installation)
2) Please tell me the tree info file
Another thing is that now with new web interface if i click on a folder i could not open it in Explorer
Anyway i did not have many folder :)!

Win64 Pro user , i install and tell to keep original configuration during installation (Wizard ask something about that , can't remember the exact word)
- Updating create a new device, that was obviously unlinked from other devices- I lost all folder configuration, then i link this "new"device to other device and have to reinsert all folder at hand because new folder where created:
Original name of folder was "Folder"
New synch folder is "Folder1"
Folder not in BTSynch default folder , idem have to be reattached at "hand".
Seems to be a bad experience (or i done something wrong, like missing to tell to keep original configration?), i have another Win64 machine , i could retry the update but i just wait too much folder name to update -
I'm a pro user but can't report this problem from interface.
I have some weird problem:
1) UI is empty a part a black bar on Top nothing is visible
2) Process is working a lot but it seems no file is synched (or a lot of file are missing)
Big problem for me , i swithched from 1.4 version to last version on Raspberry in last days and i have bought a license
I have collected log but it seems i can't send the zipped version (7z) and zip file if 506 Kb.....
How can i send the log?
Too bad this situation for me , i have wait for a "mature" version but i get a lot of problem

Uhm i read it but yesterday i read some topi like this (i can't found other topi just now but there was the path i mention /sdcard/android/data/com.bittorrent.sync)
And seems that someone is able to use the external sdcard. Any suggestion on this? Work on Androdi Lollipop?
Anyway seems that in Lollipop this limit can be bypassed as i see on another post (sorry i can't find right now) i know it's a big change but using internal memory is a big limit form me
!!!But as i see on another thread this is already suggested but not implemented.
Any idea for future release ? (No major release , realease 2 i pay for this verision

Best way seems to donwload the tar.gz file and use the executable in this file , it work fine

I installed btsync then i create the folder
/sdcard/android/data/com.bittorrent.sync
But when i connect a device file are stored in internal memory
/storage/emulated/0/...
I have tried to uninstall create the folder in sdcard prior to install etc but it seems to continue to use the internal memory.

Upon a
sudo dpkg -i ./bittorrent-sync-pi-server_2.2.2_armhf.deb
there was an error
dpkg: error processing ./bittorrent-sync-pi-server_2.2.2_armhf.deb (--install): trying to overwrite '/etc/init.d/btsync', which is also in package btsync 2.0.0-2
bysynch won't start.
I have tried
sudo apt-get remove btsync
btsync won't start
I have tried (bad idea i lost all folder configuration....)

But now i have:sudo service btsync startCouldn't start BTSync (no /etc/btsync/config.json found)

Just an info it it could be useful: I have used old version to synchronize VirtualBox image (Vm + snapshot) obviously take care i remember some trouble if i open same VM on different machine at the same time.
In other case it work fast, seems to update only modified part of file (and the VM file was a 30 - 40 GB file)

I'have just installed btsync2 version but this is not the right time to test it.
I will not use this computer in next 25 days so i like to stop the trial of pro version for sometimes.
Is there a way to to this?

Sorry previous post was a mistake : the folder that wasn't synchronized was on a external driver not attached

May be in the tab "dispositivi" (Italian may be in English is devices) the folder that is not reacheble (because of the external usb disk not conneccted for example) have to be highlighetd in some way, other way it seems it's not actually synchronized.

It seems that some file are not fully synched between peers.
I have three peers and btsync says that one dir it's not fully synchronized with one of the peer.
There are 11,5 giga of file and the UI says that needs to sync 20Mb, but they never synched.
I see in the log some info about one of this file
