TREMOR
I have 6.50GB of 100KB files.1 big file means faster transfers. So what can I do to make 1 big file?Zip = Not a good idea takes allot of time and I want to edit it really often.Truecrypt = Maybe a good idea but I'm hoping for better ideas.I need to explain this to a computer noob .And I think truecrypt will stay on forever so bittorrent sync will not sync.Is it possible for bittorrent sync to create a container like folder? GreatMarko
You don't say which operating system you're using? - but zip folders in Windows behave quite similarly to regular folders, so it's quite easy to move files in/out & rename them, etcThe other file format you could possible look at would be .tar archives as uncompressed .tar archives essentially contain an uncompressed byte stream of all the files within it. Camaban
Next question is how frequently are these files altered? If they're not altered frequently, then the only painful bit is likely to be the initial sync.If the initial sync were taking a bit long, you could rsync first, then share and future updates should be synced as they're made.
