mafflerbach
I have the Bittorrent Sync client (headless) on two Linux servers. One is Ubuntu 10.04, another is Centos 6.4. I have it installed right and have used the .conf file setup, but in neither case does the Preferences or the Conf file upload speed make the adjustment to actual upload speeds over a WAN connection.I saw someone else had a similar problem on the forum. Anyone have any ideas about this?(I'm using the latest 1.1.48 version, BTW).Can I get any ideas on how to make those changes in the sync client? Thanks in advance,Mike
GreatMarko
Might be useful to post the relevant section of your config file so we can see if you're setting the up/down limits correctly? They should be in the following format: "download_limit" : 0, "upload_limit" : 0, (where the value is in kB/s, and 0 denotes no limit)Remember, you need to restart Sync for changes made in the config file to take affect. Also, the latest version of Sync is actually 1.1.
goli
As far as I know, btsync currently is completely unaware of what type of connection is between two nodes. So if you limit the upload or download to a certain bandwidth, that should be the case for all connectivity, no matter if it's your 1GBit LAN link or your 512kBit WAN link.
