Shunmas
Hi All ! I am a new member to this forum, just joined. I want to make sure what I am doing is correct, so please correct me if I am wrong: Steps for Syncing Devices or PCs 1. Install BitTorrent Sync on PC 1, 2. Install BitTorrent Sync on PC 2 and enter the secret 3. If I want to share folder from PC 1 to PC 2, I should copy-paste that folder in C:\User\TOSHIBA\Sync 4. In PC 2, I will go to C:\Users\Dell\Sync and now the folder will be appearing there. Cut-Paste the whole folder and paste wherever we want. Is the above procedure correct for copying files between two PCs ? Thank you for this free wonderful piece of software/feature from BitTorrent. Muaaaaaaaaah !!! GreatMarko
Steps for Syncing Devices or PCs 1. Install Sync on PC1 and PC22. Select a folder to sync on PC1 and generate a secret3. Take note of the secret4. Select a folder to sync on PC2 and enter the secret you've noted in step 3 The respective folders on PC1 and PC2 will then sync. robertw
OK, just installed BT Sync for the first time, on two Macs sharing a wireless network in my home. The History list shows file activity for each the folder (one on each of the two Macs I selected to sync per instructions in previous message), but after over an hour, there are still files which are not synced. I chose existing folders which were mostly synced previously using Cubby. How do I get it to sync all the files?
robertw
Follow on to previous post... I have opened a file in it's application, made a change, and then saved and closed, but that file still has not sync.
Harold Feit
On mac, it can take up to 10 minutes because the code to handle notification on file change isn't the easiest to manage.
robertw
Understand. But I waited an hour. What else can I try to get this to work? Should there be anything listed in Devices or Transfers? These are empty.
vadimt
You should see your second PC in the Devices tab as connected device. Thanks!
