btsyncfof
I'm sorry if this question is totally irrelevant, but I figured it would be safest to check: Is BitTorrent Sync using OpenSSL, and if so, is it a version that is vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug? I have gone ahead and updated openssl on all of my linux machines, but I am curious to know if anything needs to be done for Windows machines w.r.t. BTSync specifically? Thanks! Firon
Not for Windows, no. It does not use OpenSSL on Windows. For non-Windows machines, all you'd need to do is restart btsync after updating OpenSSL if you were using one of the vulnerable versions. Disappointed Cat
Not for Windows, no. It does not use OpenSSL on Windows. I vaguely remember it uses Win Crypt API. Am I right? By the way, when can we have a look at the black box crypto specification?
