jwruffin
So I recently moved to a new place and got a new ISP, specifically Comcast. I know they've been known to throttle, but I ran Glasnost after getting some pretty bursty download speeds (see graph...I don't know how to attach a screenshot so the picture is here: http://imgur.com/l0o0QDR) and it turned up nothing. I am going through a modem (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XC6GJ0/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a router (http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Wireless-Router-N300-WNR2000/dp/B001AZP8EW) and should be getting about 50Mbps, which is what I get for apps like Steam and the like. Any idea what could be causing these bursty and highly patterned speeds? Thanks
RomanZ
@jwruffin It might be either your ISP issue (some of ISPs are throttling bittorrent traffic) or BTSync issue. I suggest following the topic about inconsistent speed. We are preparing a tool intended to debug and find bottlenecks - I'll publish more information as soon as it is ready in the topic I mentioned.
