Disconnected Non-Empty Folder Gets New Key When Reconnected

Hello,

I'm somewhat of a newbie, so I'm not sure if it is a bug, feature, or I'm just doing it wrong.

I have laptop, and add a Desktop folder.

On the fileserver, I add a read-write key, and all is fine. it syncs etc.

I then disconnect the folder on the fileserver and do stuff like a reboot.

then I try to reconnect the fileserver with the same read-write key, I get

a complaint that the folder is not empty. It is what I expect so I don't have to

resync the whole thing again.

The two folders never sync and the laptop Desktop folder keeps changing.

The laptop reports 0 of 1 peer.

I go to the fileserver, and it has a different read-write key (NOT the same one I used to connect it).

So I can't get the two folders to re-connect to each other.

The only other option I could see was to create a real empty folder and have BTSync re-copy

everything. I think that would work, but my data was almost 100GB, and why recopy all that

when there is a perfectly good copies on the fileserver?

HELP. I'm expecting the fileserver to have the same read-write key that I entered, but it doesn't

so they never sync.
