lenbit Posted June 24, 2015 Report Share Posted June 24, 2015 Following a new install of Bit Sync to my new laptop running Win8, i find that i can sync folders & files to the default location ie C:\Users\Bit Torrent Sync\...... but am unable to select another location, namely my D: drive on the computer. It repeatedly comes up with "Don't have permissions to write to selected folder". I have shared the D: drive in Windows under the sharing setting but the problem persists. Helen Posted June 24, 2015 Report Share Posted June 24, 2015 lenbit, With permissions one requirement shall be met - the user under which you launch Sync shall have read-write access to the folder. So please double check it first of all. I have shared the D: drive in Windows under the sharing setting but the problem persists. Sharing settings -are for networking access.
