JSAadmin
I wanted to know if there is anyway to prevent this happening. I have one user who is online and connected to my local network, syncing live. I have a 2nd user working offline, not connected to wifi at all. The online user renames a folder: folderOLD to folderNEW. Conindentally, the offline user changes the same folder: folderOLD to folderNEWER. when the offline user goes back online, I end up now having two folders in my share, folderNEW and folderNEWER which are exact duplicate except for the names being different. Anyway to prevent this?
Helen
JSAadmin, Reply was also given in your support ticket. Sharing with others: renaming - is deleting old item and creating new one. Sync cannot and doesn't sync actions, it sync folder states -file deleted, file added, file changed. So your two peers have deleted folderOLD and created (added) folderNEWER and folderNEW each. So when Sync got back online, both deleted folderOLD, and then just found out that there is a new folder (folderNEWER) that is not present at the other peer, and vice versa, so they are re-sycned.
