Finder extension not working

I've been having a lot of trouble getting the Sync Finder extension to work lately.  Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Often I can kick it (System Preferences -> Extensions -> Finder and disable/enable Sync there. Relaunch Finder. Restart Sync) and it will start working for awhile. Currently, I can't get it work at all.

By not working, I mean there no visual representation in the Finder of a file's sync status, and/or right-clicking on a file shows none of the Sync choices in the context menu.

There does seem to be some inconsistency. Currently I've found one Sync folder that has Sync choices when right-clicking on a file, while most of the Sync folders have nothing in the context menu.  None of the Sync folders has the visual dot in the Finder to show file status.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

AAL

Sync 2.4.1 (672)

OS X 10.11.6  (but I'm seeing similar behavior on 10.12.1 too)
