skrue
Hi. I am trying to get this to work, but I am not sure if it`s even possible to do it the way I want using ignore list. Lets say I have my laptop connected to a folder that is being sync between several devices. From my laptop I want all files to be synct to the other devices, but I dont want i to accept some specific filetype. So if I want my laptop to send all file types, but not to receive them, do I put in the ignore files in the file on my laptop? Will it then ignored those files from being sync to my laptop, or will it stop my laptop from sending them too? So if I add .exe to the ignore list on my laptop. Does this mean that my laptop wont send .exe, or not receive .exe, or both? Edited April 22, 2017 by skrue
Helen
both. Adding a string to IgnoreList means that this peer will totally ignore this folder/file/filetype for both - upload and download. So IgnoreList, unfortunately, won't help you here. And i"m afraid that this functionality - filtering up/download by file type - is not implemented in Sync.
