  1. Not sure there is one. It uses filesystem change notifications so it should start syncing as soon as a file changes or a new file appears. However based on some comments, I believe btsync assumes the system clocks between systems are synchronized and that can cause some delays.
  2. I think he means if I have pair of folders on two different machines that are mostly the same and I add them to btsync, what will happen? Ideally both machines should get a union of the files in the two directories. But what about if two files with the same name are different from each other. And if two files are identical with btsync notice and not try to transfer them again.
  3. Got an invite for btsync today and started playing with it. Seeing the config option for upload bandwidth I was surprised not to use a "set automatically" option. Does btsync not use http://en.wikipedia....nsport_Protocol? That would seem to be ideal as it could be allowed to use the network as needed and not interfere with other local traffic like movie streaming. I tried to search the forums and look at the FAQ but I didn't see anything about this. Also with the linux version I was surprised it was listening on 0.0.0.0:8888 by default so anyone on the local network can see by shares and get the secrets.
