I find setting up btsync very obscure. Also, the UI on Android and web makes it hard to figure out what folder is being synced. On Android, I add backups and share to email. On the web app, I add them by pasting the link. Both Android and laptop are on the same LAN. Now on the web UI I see "pending". On Android, no approvals show up. What is it trying to do? I've checked "enable debug logging" in the web app, and created `.../.sync/debug.txt` with FFFF. For some reason, btsync is starting up on a 172... interface, although there is no such interface configured (doesn't show in `ifconfig`). Hmm. Now one day later an "Access Request" notification shows up on Android (I didn't interact with Sync in the meantime). When I select the notification, it says "no requests to approve", and the share still says "Connect to a device". Ah, after navigating to the menu in the Sync app on Android and selecting Approvals, I see the pending approval. After clicking the green checkmark and waiting for 30s or so, laptop and Android are syncing.

It seems to be intermittent --- I've added a few shares that work fine in the previous weeks, now I added another today and I don't have any "Access Request" showing up on the Android side.

On Android, I enable camera backup and share the link via email. On my laptop, I add the link via the web UI. On Android, I see an "Access request" notification. When I touch it, I see "No requests to approve". When I redo the process a few times, an access request turns up eventually.

I'm trying to sync a folder from mobile to laptop. On the mobile I add the folder and get a link. On the laptop in web UI, I add the link and the folder appears. Now the laptop is showing: It doesn't make sense to show Pending (i.e. no connection yet) and a Date synced of 17 minutes ago. (The share was created 17 minutes ago, but it was not yet synced.)

Under preferences I don't see "View key", only the following (Sync 1.4.72):
