  1. Hi, Am setting up a win 7 pc to win 7 pc backup/sync (1 way). At the moment both machines are on my local lan but the destination pc will be offiste so will connect over the internet. Using v. 2.3.6(378) I've noticed that on the destination PC, the drive I am backing up to some strange folders are being created which are empty notify122817677 (dated 05/04/2017) notify-1195050472 (dated 07/04?2016) Why are these being created and/or not being removed if not longer needed? I have set the sync app on the source and destination pc to "Search the Lan" and use a no-ip dns address in "Predefined hosts". Using a predefined host is the last major config change I made. Would this have anything to do with it considering both machines are still on the same lan? Once the destination machine is offsite it'll be hard for me to admin it as it'll only power on in the early hours of the morning. Cheers
  2. That's geat news. Thank you very much Cheers
  3. Hi everyone, I'm in the process of setting up a 1 way sync/backup regime from 1 win 7 pc to another win 7 pc. The "source" win 7 machine I have already installed and configured and the Tbs of data has been indexed (too a very long time). I've noticed now that I installed the 32bit version of the Bittorrentsync software. I have not setup the "destination" win 7 machine yet. Am I able to upgrade to the 64 bit version without having to start over? (I have made a varitery of backups of my sync data/dbases etc). Thanks and cheers again for a great product.
  4. Thank you GreatMarko, (and sorry for the late reply) Although I wasn't planning on backup up data from the remote machine to my local machine I'll setup something.
  5. Hello all, Thank you for a great product! I'm in the middle of setting up a 1 way backup regime from 1 Win 7 machine to another Win 7 machine over the internet. I've been doing some testing and all is working ok so far but before I go live I have 1 maybe important question. On the host/source machine I've setup some scripts to backup my settings/db/.sync folders, so I know I am ok here in case something melts I am wondering on the recipient/destination machine do I need to backup any settings on that at all? Thanks and cheers
