dershope
This is a fresh install of Bittsync on a Windows 7 Pro 64bit laptop. I've added the Documents folder to the list of folders to sync. This is the only folder in the list. Immediately Bitsync begins to index then stops at 50MB of data. If I add other folders indexing displays correctly. I haven't Synced this to another machine yet as I noticed quickly that the information displayed was incorrect. The version I installed is 1.3.106. spYro
First Thing that comes to my mind: - Create a new folder with the same name somewhere on your computer- Edit your btsync, so it does only sync the new folder- Start to copy files and subfolders from the original folder to the new folder and watch for btsync. At what point will it stop to sync? will it ever stop to sync? What files are the first ones that arent synced?- Let your btsync have around 1-2 Minutes for each sync as maximum (if you didnt change the settings like folder-rescan). By the way, there are file-types, that are excluded:.DS_Store.DS_Store?._*.Spotlight-V100.Trashesehthumbs.dbdesktop.iniThumbs.db Just keep that in mind. Look into the sync-log, located at:c:\your_username\appdata_oraming_bittorrent sync\sync.log If this doenst help you, post the last part of the sync-log here (you may hide IPs if you want). dershope
Will do the above. I tried to sync the same folder from a different user account thinking it may be because the user in question is a standard user versus administrator....same problem. dershope
Must be something to do with the Documents folder. I created a folder on the desktop of the same user then copied all of the files from documents to the test folder. Watching Btsync program it indexes everything. Log file is below. dershope
I created a folder named test and placed it in the documents folder. I copied everything from documents into the new test folder. When I checked btsync it was indexing the test folder and all 3.24GB of data. This is weird. For now I'm creating another documents folder copying all of the needed files to it and syncing this folder. That isn't going to work real well. I need to figure out why the program is only syncing 5.6MB of files. I think it has something to do with Windows not btsync.
spYro
you could try to move the files ro the windows music-folder (or video). they all have some special behaviour sometimes. If they dont sync well too, it really could be windows itself. if they sync, maybe its some buggy thing only with the documents folder :/Gesendet von meinem GT-I9505 mit Tapatalk
RomanZ
@dershope I suggest turning on debug log, it will reveal more information.

RomanZ
@dershope That's pretty surprising. The fact that BTSync tries to enumerate files in the "My Videos" indicates that OS told BTSync that this folder exists. Could you please supply me full debug log as well as output of a "dir" console command in your documents? Also note, that if you are syncing your whole profile folder, you need at least exclude AppData - otherwise BTSync will go into infinite loop of syncing - as it stores it's service data there. Termi79
Hi! I have the same behavior under Windows 8.1 64-bit. I try to sync my Documents-folder and BT Sync doesn't sync it completely. Same errors like dershope. BT Sync is finding "My Music" and "My Videos" that doesn't exist under Documents. Termi79
spYro
Uh. Maybe BTsync gets confused with the "Alias"-Folder in Windows?Like "C:\Benutzer" (in german versions) is in reallity "c:\users" and so on?I know that the same thing is happening with the predefined document-folder. Maybe this confuses BTsync somehow :/
RomanZ
Hi all, I confirm - there is an issue. It is going to be fixed in next 1.3 or 1.4 (whichever comes faster) release. The issue is that BTSync incorrectly indexes directory junctions in certain cases.
