Can't Install Sync In Windows 7

Hello,

My first post as I've just found out about Bittorrent Sync.

I downloaded it for my Android phone and it installed correctly.

I downloaded it for my computer (running Window 7 32bit) and it states that "Sync does not support your web browser" and that I should use a current version of either Firefox or Chrome.

I have the current version of both Firefox and Chrome on my computer.

Maybe you might be able to offer some advice/help?

Thanks

You're seeing this message because you have Internet Explorer 8 installed.

You therefore have two options:

1) Update IE so that you can use the "native" HTML Sync UI - I have IE 11 installed and I don't get as far as attempting to use a browser, it's during the install process that I get the message.

 ...or...

2) Use Firefox/Chrome to access Sync via your browser (http://127.0.0.1:8888)

I have same problem.

#1 have IE 11 installed, and reinstalled it, with no success

#2 doesn't apply because btsync does not have web UI for Windows.

system is Windows 7 64 & BTsync 64.

After removing setting and reinstalling no success.

adding /webui to the command does nothing.

tried http://127.0.0.1:8888/webui and http://127.0.0.1:8888/gui

still not clear on how to get this to work.

You need to add /webui to the command line, not to the URL.

Click Start Menu -> Run

Type C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe /webui

(where C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\ is the location where you installed Sync)

Thanks the run command did the trick!!

However, when trying to put the command in the shortcut's target property nothing happens. Is there a different command when using the shortcut property?

Right click btsync shortcut > properties > shourtcut > target: "C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe" /webui
