richard49
Hello,My first post as I've just found out about Bittorrent Sync. I downloaded it for my Android phone and it installed correctly. I downloaded it for my computer (running Window 7 32bit) and it states that "Sync does not support your web browser" and that I should use a current version of either Firefox or Chrome. I have the current version of both Firefox and Chrome on my computer. Maybe you might be able to offer some advice/help? Thanks
GreatMarko
You're seeing this message because you have Internet Explorer 8 installed. You therefore have two options:1) Update IE so that you can use the "native" HTML Sync UI ...or...2) Use Firefox/Chrome to access Sync via your browser (http://127.0.0.1:8888)

After removing setting and reinstalling no success. Edited November 30, 2014 by vsgxrhfk
GreatMarko
#2 doesn't apply because btsync does not have web UI for Windows. Oh yes it does! On Windows systems with IE<9 the Web UI is enabled by default. On Windows systems with IE>9, you just need to run BTSync with the /webui switch

You need to add /webui to the command line, not to the URL. Click Start Menu -> RunType C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe /webui (where C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\ is the location where you installed Sync)
vsgxrhfk
You need to add /webui to the command line, not to the URL. Click Start Menu -> RunType C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe /webui (where C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\ is the location where you installed Sync) Thanks the run command did the trick!! However, when trying to put the command in the shortcut's target property nothing happens. Is there a different command when using the shortcut property? Right click btsync shortcut > properties > shourtcut > target: "C:\Program Files\BitTorrent Sync\BTSync.exe" /webui
GreatMarko
It should work exactly the same for a shortcut! Make sure Sync isn't already running when you click your shortcut!
