Bitwise
When syncing, I have the system tray notification enabled. After syncing is finished, it usually does not go away. Can this be fixed? v1.4.103 on Win7 SP1
RomanZ
@BitwiseIt doesn't look to be BTSync issue. We just ask OS to show notification ballon and how long to show it (10 seconds in Sync case), the rest is handled by OS. Just note that balloon timeout starts to be counted down only when you press a key / move a mouse. BTW, are you using any remote administration tool? They might emulate mouse movements / keystrokes differently.
Bitwise
@Romanz Thanks. Not using any remote admin tools. I can't say why the problem exists, only that it does. Tried it on a fresh Win 7 SP1 install, and had the same problem. Maybe BTSync is requesting notification balloons multiple times? No other applictions having this issue. RomanZ
@BitwiseIt asks once per notification it wants to show. Is it a VM? If yes - can I get the image for repro? Issue does not reproduce in my lab.

Issue does not reproduce in my lab. Interesting. Thanks. It's not a VM. Does Windows queue up notifications? IOW, if BTSync, is sending too many notifications (and too fast), will Windows display the notification for a longer period of time? For example, if you ask Windows to display a notification 'Hello World' 50 times in 10 seconds, will the notification last longer than if you had asked for the name notification to be displayed just once? I'm trying to think of possible reasons why this problem might exist with BTSync, but no other applications.
RomanZ
@BitwiseNo, it should not queue them up. If you show a new one - the previous is simply discarded. BTW, there is a close button on notification. Does it close if you click it explicitly?
Bitwise
@RomanZ I will test that for you. I'm 90% sure it does, but I will have to verify.
Bitwise
@Romanz As promised, I tested it for you. Clicking on the close button closes the balloon notification. Not clicking on it keeps it open indefinitately. No other applications exhibit this behavior.
RomanZ
@BitwiseThanks for this information. By the way - do you have uTorrent client? Does behaves in the same way as Sync?
Bitwise
@RomanzYou're welcome. Thank YOU for all your hard work. uTorrent client is not installed (nor has it ever been).
